Today we’re looking back at truly York based wedding. The day culminated with a wedding at De Grey Rooms, however, this wasn’t before we made our way around some of Yorks great weddings spots. The day started at the Minster inn, a popular place for pre-wedding guest to congregate before the day ahead. The day then led us on to the York Registry office. There, vows were exchanged and the happy couple were wed. We then made our way to one of my favourite wedding venues in York: Marmadukes hotel. After food and drink the wedding party made there way …
Autumn weddings! What could be better? They’ve always been one of my personal favourites. So, here I’m revisiting a wedding at the Bar Convent. The Bar Convent is a beautiful little wedding venue in the centre of York that boasts one of the most beautiful chapels in the city. After the ceremony we were taken through the Museum Gardens past the York Minster for a private shoot of the couple. Then we were on our way to the Merchants Adventurers Hall for the reception. The day was nicely rounded off with traditional Ceilidh.
Today were looking back at a Wedding at Easby Hall. Located just outside of Richmond Easby Hall is grandiose manor house that is often frequented by wedding couples. The surrounding area is a combination of English country side and old church ruins, All of which provide a beautiful back drop to any wedding. The people, location and atmosphere were just right for this wedding. We had a great time documenting Lisa and James’s big day. Enjoy the photos and if you want to know more about my services feel free to get in touch.
Today I’m looking back the great wedding I did for Kevin and Victoria. This wedding took us from Beverly Registry office across to Priory Pastures. They were really beautiful locations that made for some excellent backdrops to this perfect wedding. I can’t recommend a wedding in Everingham enough! So take a look at this little snippet of photos I’ve put together from there big day. I hope it gives some ideas and inspiration for your own. We had the pleasure of joining Jonny and Kit for there wedding in Kirkbymooreside this month. A great day was had by all even with the predictably unpredictable English weather. During the day we photographed and filmed all the moments of their wedding day with exciting results. We now have an updated service page that includes all our wedding video packages! The Video Just like the photography the film is shot with telling the story of your big day in mind. Perfectly complementing the photo set the video catches every nuance of the day and adds an extra layer to …
In May this year I photographed my very first gay wedding. The couple in question were Cat and Rachael, two soldiers who had just recently taken leave in order to have there wedding. The event took place at the Hospitium, a quaint little building set in the middle of the museum gardens in York. The day flowed perfectly, allowing us to get all the shots we wanted of the happy couple. It was an exciting day for everyone in the wedding party and not to mention for myself too. Having never shot a gay wedding before I was elated on …
One of the first Weddings I shot in 2014 was, of course, in the city centre of York. I was very fortunate to be asked to shoot Matt and Claire for their Wedding at the Merchant Taylors Hall. During the day we moved around from the Duke of York to the Minster for the photography, thoroughly making the most of what York has to offer. So here are a few photos from the day. Take a look and enjoy!
At the end of 2013 the last two Weddings I photographed were at Hazelwood Castle. Both Weddings were a pleasure to shoot. Brides, Grooms and guests alike were all great company. So I thought I’d put a few shots from each Wedding into one little post. Anyone in the Yorkshire area looking for a place to get married I would whole heartedly recommend Hazelwood Castle as a venue. The grounds are beautiful, the interior is grand, and the staff are a sweet and helpful kind of people. So take a look and enjoy!
Rolling hills, grand buildings, country pubs and lots of sheep. These are all things that feature, repeatedly, when you shoot a wedding in Ilkley. A place where we recently shot one of our favourite Weddings of the Year. So here is a little set of photos I took of the wedding party! Enjoy! Getting Ready We joined the bride and Bridesmaids at their hotel for a morning of hair, makeup and makeshift textile work. We also joined the Groom and Groomsmen after at the Bar for a morning of, well, beer.
One of our stand out Weddings of this year has to be the Wedding at Burnby Hall Gardens. Truly one of the most beautiful locations I have shot a wedding in, the grounds proved to be a delightful backdrop for the Bride, Groom and guests. Bride Getting ready The day started off at the brides home. I carefully documented the morning events as people were getting ready, chatting and generally enjoying the pre-wedding excitement!
