In May this year I photographed my very first gay wedding. The couple in question were Cat and Rachael, two soldiers who had just recently taken leave in order to have there wedding. The event took place at the Hospitium, a quaint little building set in the middle of the museum gardens in York.
The day flowed perfectly, allowing us to get all the shots we wanted of the happy couple. It was an exciting day for everyone in the wedding party and not to mention for myself too.
Having never shot a gay wedding before I was elated on receiving the news that I’d be working Cat and Rachael’s. After photographing such a day I can’t wait to do my next one, it was a lot of fun.
So, take a look at some of the photos from the day and let me know what you think!
